30 Days of Code – Day 1: Data Types

Task: Declare an integer, double, and string as variables and assign appropriate values to them. Then print these variables to the console after doing addition or concatenation with them.

Process: This was a fairly simple task of declaring and assigning values, assuring they are integers or floats when being read (parseInt/parseFloat), and then performing math before printing. “Read and save…” is something I’m still not completely clear on. What is the benefit of “reading” normally?
